Compassion
Hospitals Program
Objective: Brighten the lives of kids when they need it the most
Program: Supporting more than 45 hospitals across Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata reaching out to 5Mn+ kids through cheerful room renovations, beloved Disney Character visits and the supply of the adorable Disney toys, games, books and other necessary items to make up play areas at these hospitals.
Disney Wishes
Objective: Fulfil wishes of children suffering from life threatening medical conditions in India
Program: Working with the Make-A-Wish® Foundation of India on fulfilling wishes of children suffering with life threatening medical conditions to provide the family hope, strength and joy. Since the launch of the program in 2005, close to 1500 Disney wishes have been fulfilled in India in addition to various fund raising activities and character meet-n-greets being organised for kids from the Foundation.
Conservation
Friends for Change: Conserving Green Spaces
Objective: Conserve urban greenery and promote quality outdoor time with family and community.
Program: Working in Delhi-NCR through an innovative interschool volunteering competition to engage children, their parents, teachers and local communities in identifying, adopting and developing an urban green space/ park in their neighbourhood. Each project is supported with a grant of up to Rupees five lakh to develop this area/ park.
In 2014, nine schools participated in this program and transformed over 20,000 Sq.m of urban green spaces. More than 16000 saplings were planted by 3000+ students who were actively involved.
Sanjay Gandhi National Park
Objective: Connect kids with nature to build lifelong conservation values
Program: Supporting the park since 2010 to promote conservation through green initiatives like tree plantation drives, restoration of nature trails, organising bird shows and recycle workshops and more. Funding the restoration and redevelopment of the Nature Interpretation Center to upgrade and digitise the content and facilities thereby providing an enhanced experience to the visitors.
